About

CRG Essentials is an independent Australian training, audit and advisory enterprise.  We assist companies and government enterprises to achieve excellence in the areas of compliance, governance and risk management.

Many of our clients have sought assistance in responding to enforceable undertakings imposed by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and/or other regulators.  We see these obligations as opportunities, and that is our key point of difference.

We can develop and deliver training programs and reviews for any area of regulation, but our main subject matter areas in recent years have been:

  • Consumer Protection: the Australian Consumer Law* and the Fair Trading Acts of Australia’s States and Territories
  • Antitrust: the Competition and Consumer Act* of Australia and the Commerce Act of New Zealand
  • Bribery and Corruption: the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (US), the Bribery Act (UK) and the Commonwealth Criminal Code (Australia)
  • Privacy: the Privacy Act, SPAM Act and related provisions of Australian law

 * formerly the Trade Practices Act

In our governance practice we assist Boards and senior managers with the development and articulation of strategy and the management of risk. Our clients include enterprises of every shape and size: listed and unlisted public companies, not-for-profits and government businesses.  We also provide compliance, risk and governance health checks that deliver assurance to those accountable for these elements of performance.

CRGessentials is a small business that works with the existing CRG infrastructure of its clients to achieve excellence.  We are not a law firm, and are proud to have worked with many of Australia’s leading legal professionals in the establishment and improvement of corporate compliance and governance programs. Greg d’Arville is the company Principal - read about his background here.

CRGessentials also participates in the Positive Compliance Action (PCA) joint venture that was established in 1999 to assist the local government sector to meet its compliance obligations.  Click here for information about PCA.
